Camille Juban Pozo Comeback

Having had my nose broken really bad during a double forward loop, at the last American Windsurf Tour stop at Pistol River in Oregon USA. I needed to surgery to get it fixed.

So because of that I arrived in Pozo for the first PWA event of the year only a week and a half before the contest to train. My doctors had told me not to sail before the event, as my nose was still very fragile and would not even stand up to being picked 😉

My feeling however was that I had to train, because I needed to improve sailing in Pozo conditions.

I sailed but I was not feeling 100% confident because of my nose so didn?t take any chances.

I trained as much as I could and for the trials I passed won against Nico Akgazciyan and Eleazar Alonzo.

This set me up against Robby Swift for the first heat of the main event. I had a better wave than him on waves but my jumping score was not good enough so on the next day, for the double elimination against John Skye I knew I had to score a double to pass the round even if I scored good in waves.

As I had just broken my nose on a double not so long ago I had blockage on it, and 12min heats are really short. so when Ii knew I had an ok wave score I did a couple runs looking for a double but I was still thinking about my nose.
I finally tried my first double after the broken nose wipeout at Pistol River. but the empty run?s had taken too much time so by then the heat was over.

I?m really disappointed with my result from Pozo, but this gives me the anger for the next events.
